Microsoft has announced that it will release on June 24 a new version of Windows for PC, which will provide the most important updates to the popular operating system in a decade.
The media was invited to the "What's Next for Windows" event hosted by the American software giant.
Satya Nadella, CEO of the company will be from Redmond (Washington State, USA), and Panos Panay, the company's chief product officer.
Microsoft said last week at its annual Build Developers Conference that a "new generation" of Windows will be released "soon."
Nadella remarked at the time, "I've been using it for a few months now, and I'm incredibly enthusiastic about the next version of Windows."
According to statistics from the same company, the current version of Windows 10 was released in 2015 and is used by more than 1.3 million people around the world on a regular basis.
One theory that has gained support in the professional press in recent weeks and aligns with Satya Nadella's observations is that the new Windows operating system has a virtual app store available to all developers, which would allow even hardware trading platforms to turn into apps, which has already happened. Never before.
The name Microsoft will give the next Windows is still unknown; Will it be Windows 11, for example, or will the company know the name Windows 10?
